Gelatin smelly pots

Febreze Gain
When you're travelling you never know what the place you'll be living will smell like.  I know we think a lot about what it will look like, but smell is important too. So I've gotten into the habit of bringing something that smells good with me.

I like the smell of Gain Detergent and found a travel sized spray bottle, which does the trick. But there has to be something more natural out there.

Let's try the following recipe to see how they work.

What you'll need:

(2) 4 oz mason jars
(2) Wire lids for Mason jars (also called frog lids)
(2) packets of gelatin powder
Essential oil of your choice
Frog lid

Optional - Food colouring

How-to:

Combine 1/2 cup of water and (2) packets of gelatin powder in a mixing bowl.
Stir until powder is dissolved.
Optional - Add food until the desired shade is reached.
Pour 1/2 cup of very cold water in the mixing bowl and mix.
Add drops of essential oil - I've found some fun mixes on Pinterest.
Pour the liquid in the (2) jars.
Place the wire lid on the jar, tighten.
Find a cool spot and let the liquid "set".
Check after 2 hours.
Place them where you need a smelly pick me up.

Happy sniffing!
